Robert Millar

Robert became a part of the AMI staff in September 2019, after an internship with AMI in 2016 and being on the ECS committee since 2017 in the role of Social Media Officer. From 2019 until the end of 2020, Robert's responsibilities as Science Development officer included interfacing with outreach and public engagement activities, procuring content for AMI's blogs, news and Microbiologist magazine, as well as overseeing the development of AMI's website. Since 2021 Robert has been the Society's Digital Communications and Engagement Officer, and now Senior Marketing and Digital Content Officer, incorporating the previous role as well as looking after AMI's marketing interests, aiding in AMI's transition to digital events during the pandemic and acting as staff liaison to AMI's ECS Committee. Prior to working for AMI, Robert was a PhD applicant at the University of Warwick, after completing a masters in biochemistry at the University of Oxford and Philipps-Universität Marburg.
