Lesley Ogilvie
Lesley is the Director of the Secretariat at the Global AMR R&D Hub, a global partnership focused on addressing challenges and improving co-ordination and collaboration in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research and development. With a PhD in microbiology, Lesley’s experience spans infection biology and the human gut virome in health and disease, having previously held research and teaching positions in microbial ecogenomics at institutions in the UK and Germany, including the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Genetics. Lesley actively represents the Global AMR R&D Hub on advisory groups for international bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Commission, and is a member of the Applied Microbiology International One Health Advisory Group. Passionate about evidence-informed policymaking, she is committed to driving science-based solutions and fostering global collaboration to effectively address AMR.
