Dr. Anastasios D. Tsaousis is an Academic Reader at the University of Kent and leads the Laboratory of Molecular and Evolutionary Parasitology. He chairs the European COST Action “Blastocystis under One Health,” coordinating a network that studies Blastocystis prevalence, diagnostics, and host–microbiome interactions across humans, animals, and the environment. His group works at the interface of parasitology and microbiome science, from basic biology to translational applications.
